An Intelligent Classification and Formulation of Network Problems

Abstract:  The purpose of this paper is to develop a knowledge based system that classifies and formulates many network problem usually appears in production and distribution management. Three knowledge beses for the detailed classification, general formulation and specific modeling are constructed. An approach via query and answer graph is employed for the systematic rule generation. Several different factors are considered even in the same category of the network to identify the detailed classification. Problem definition, general formulation and proposed algorithms are provided for the novice users to easily generate data dependent models of their own problems. Pascal programs that easily communicate with databases are installed for the specific formulation phase. Side constraints that necessarily follows the network problems are also examined to enhance the system flexibility.
